December 11, 1943 - November 19, 2019

Celebration of Life for Phillip Eugene Quiring, 75, will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Central Christian Church with burial in the Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverend Jeff Knighton will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Phil was born to Eugene and Elouise (Miles) Quiring on December 11th, 1943 at Enid General Hospital, Enid, Oklahoma and passed away at St Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City on November 19th, 2019.

He was raised in Fairview, Oklahoma and baptized in the Fairview Central Christian Church. After graduating Fairview High School in 1962, he attended college at Southwestern. He then attended Sayre Junior College where he met the love of his life, Frances “Fran” Gallahar and they were married September 5th, 1965. Phil and Fran lived in Oklahoma City until the death of his father in 1967. They then returned to Fairview, Oklahoma to be with his mother and two younger brothers. In 1967 a daughter was born, Gina Marie and shortly after that in 1970, their son was born, Spencer Eugene.

He loved farming and enjoyed the grandkids coming out to the field and making the rounds in his tractor or combine with him.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Elouise Quiring.

He is survived by his loving wife Fran, daughter Gina and husband Tex Richardson of Seminole, and son Spencer Quiring of Fairview, two brothers, Michael and Shelly Quiring of Oklahoma City, and Patrick and Paula Quiring of Stillwater. Six Grandchildren, Brooke and her husband TJ Carter of Fairview, Kristen Richardson of Seminole, Logan Quiring of Norman, Samantha Richardson of Seminole, and Tia and Thedric Quiring of Fairview, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made to the Central Christian Church with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
