Funeral service for Billy “Bill” Roland Inman, age 85, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Fairview, Oklahoma with Reverend Orville White officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Bill was born July 7, 1932 in Belva, OK to Sam and Esther Cora (Hoffman) Inman and passed away November 6, 2017 at Golden Oaks in Enid, Oklahoma. Bill grew up in Cheyenne Valley and graduated from Cheyenne Valley. He joined the US Army following school and was honorably discharged. He and Lulu “Fern” Custer were married on September 2, 1952. After his return home he went to work for United States Gypsum. Bill and Fern were blessed with four children: Renita, Beverly, Rick and Brian. Bill also was employed by Major County and worked 29 years for the City of Fairview before his retirement. He loved hunting, fishing and telling a good story but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children: Renita and Rodney Ewbank of Weatherford, OK, Beverly and Phil Elwell and Rick Inman all of Fairview and Brian Inman of Enid, OK, one sister Rose Conner of Fairview, one sister in law, Darlene Inman both of Fairview, twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Fern, parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to Valir Hospice with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
