Old Thackerville Cemetery

Mr. Hamm surveyed this cemetery in 2003.
OLD THACKERVILLE is another large abandoned cemetery and is on private property. It was started back in the 1870's, and is one of the oldest cemeteries in Love County. Thackerville was one of the stations where the cattle and drivers from the Old Chisum Trail stopped over to rest. Many of the Thackers that the town was named after are buried here. It is located in 1E, 8S, Section 23.
