Jereta Ann Minyard, 83, of Dickson, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, at her home in Dickson.

She was born on June 29, 1938, in Love County, Oklahoma to the late Hoyt Thurman Shilling and Edith Marie O’dell Shilling. She was raised and lived her entire life in Enville, Oklahoma. Jereta married James Monroe “Jim” Minyard on January 15, 1955, in Gainesville, Texas and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1998. She was a Christian and a member of the Enville Community Church.


She is survived by children: Terry Minyard and wife Deleta, Marietta, Oklahoma; Chub Minyard, Enville, Oklahoma; Sammie Jo Seeley and husband Larry, Dickson, Oklahoma; Deborah Stepp, Dickson, Oklahoma; Nancy Minyard and Kent Porterfield, Burneyville , Oklahoma; and Janet Taylor, Bristow, Oklahoma. 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-great-grandchild. Sisters: Jo Minyard, Enville, Oklahoma and Sue Horblit and husband Harry, Wheatland, Wyoming. Sister-in-law: Linda Carver and husband John, Dalton, Georgia.
 
Jereta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, baby girl Minyard, Son In-Law; Rick Stepp, several nephews and nieces and a host of sisters and brother in-laws.
 
Casket Bearers: Cody Minyard, Randy McMillian, Dylan Morgan, Caleb Rains, Willie Ed Douglas, and Steven Ted Willis.
 
Honorary Bearers: Melvin Douglas, Jess Bayless, Sis Teal, Don & Carol Keizor, Lonnie & Micky Renick, Claudia & Jerry Vaughn, Mary Jacobs, and Kim Jackson.
