John Harrison Love Jr.
Born: May 21, 1955
Died: May 31, 2016

John H. Love, Jr, 61, of Lawton, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 in a Lawton Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel. Cremation will follow.

John H. Love, Jr was born on May 21, 1955 in Keokuk, Iowa to John H. Love, Sr and Mary Brumback Love. He grew up on different military bases around the world, eventually settling in Lawton, and graduating from MacArthur High School in 1974. He attended Great Plains Area Vo-Tech and became a certified welder. He was employed with the City of Lawton as a welder, with Brown and Root Industrial Services as a welder and foreman, and Burgess Manning of Wichita Falls, Texas for over 20 years as a welder and foreman where he also retired from. He married Laura Siereveld of Chattanooga on June 16, 1977 in Vernon, Texas. They resided in Chattanooga until 2012 when they relocated to Lawton. When he was younger he was a talented artist and sculptor. Many of his pieces still exist in relatives home around the US. John was a hard-working man who always took great care of his family. He loved spending time with his family. He was recently preceded in death by his older sister Terri in June 2015; his mother in August of 2015; and his father in November of 2015. He was also preceded in death by his older brother, Robert Love in 1998.

He is survived by his wife Loree of the home; sons, George and wife Missy of Arkansas and John H. Love III and husband Patrick of Elgin, OK; his grandchildren, Makenzie Love and John “Harrison” Love IV of Elgin, Garrett Love and Ileigh Love of Arkansas; his sister, Allison Anderson and husband, Jerry of Texas; brother-in-law, Joe Marshhauser of Texas; and former daughter-in-law, Elise Bailey; and several other in laws and nieces and nephews.
