Clifton Elsworth "Clif" Burling

Clifton Elsworth Burling passed away at his residence in Afton, Oklahoma on Grand Lake on Tuesday, October 1, 2013.

Clif was born on August 10, 1928 to Glen and Rosa Burling in Alva, Oklahoma. He graduated from Alva High School. He received a degree of Bachelor of Science Northwestern State College.

He married Vera Ella McGee July 31, 1949 in Alva, Oklahoma at the Friends Church until her untimely passing on September 14, 1982. He remarried to Audrey Gage until her passing.
He worked for Phillips Petroleum Company as an engineer until his retirement.

Clif was preceded in death by his parents, his two wives, one brother, Wayne Burling and one sister, Joyce Long.

He is survived by two sons; Glen Howdy Burling of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jack Burling of Edmond, Oklahoma, two daughters; Jill Sells and spouse Jim Sells of Westland, Michigan and Tanda Romero of Hobbs, New Mexico, one sister; Janice Stepp of Woodword, Oklahoma, four grandchildren; Colby Burling, Rachel Romero, Charlie Romero, Ashley Long and Kera Sells and two great grandchildren; Vienna Long and Ainsley Burling.
