Clara May Bell
Born: March 05, 1928
Died: November 04, 2009

Clara May Bell, 81, stepped into eternity with her Lord, Jesus Christ on November 4, 2009. She was born on March 5, 1928 in Guthrie, OK to Floyd and Myrtle Ball.

Clara married Fred Bell on March 19, 1946. She was a member of Guthrie First United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband in their business for many years. Clara was devoted to her family and was the best at planning terrific birthday parties for all of her kids. She also enjoyed gardening and being outdoors and was always caring and compassionate and ready to lend a helping hand.

Clara is preceded in death by her husband Fred; son Herbie; her parents; and brother Robert "Bobby" Ball.

She is survived by daughter Suzanne Miller and husband Darrel; grandson John Miller and wife Jennifer; two granddaughters Darla Whitley and husband Doug and Charlotte Barker and husband Clay; seven great-grandchildren Jordan, Brooke, Jesika, Elliot, Claire, Cody, and Little; brother Charles Ball and wife Maxine; sister-in-law Pat Ball; three nephews Jerry Ball, David Ball, and Stephen Ball; and four nieces Joyce Bolding, Janet Slaughter, Jean Ann Canning, and Judy Reeves.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2009 at Summit View Cemetery with Karen Allen of First Christian Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. At the family’s request, there will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to God’s Food Bank, P.O. Box 114, Guthrie, OK 73044 or First Christian Church Benevolence Fund, 402 East Noble, Guthrie, OK 73044.
