Archie Oliver Starks Obit

Archie Oliver Starks was Born 10 Mary 1917 to James and Mary Ellen Starks.

Archie started school at McKinley but finished at Meridian, OK. After school he enliste with the US Army and was active during WWII. Archie was the oldest living Veteran in Logan County.

After leaving the army, Archie married Edna Ruth McPeak and they had 5 children. He built his farm and continued to operate and love it throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Wolfington, his parents, James and Mary Ellen Sparks, a granddaughter, Jenny Kay Starks, one daughter-in-law and one son-in-law, along with 3 brothers and 7 sisters.

Archie is survived by his wife of 68 years, Edna Ruth Starks, 3 sons, Derral, Keith and Stanley starks, all of the home, and one daughter, Arlene Ray of Stillwater. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Jason, Josh and Jordyn Starks; Cory, Nathan, and Jesse Ray, John and Oliver Wolfington, Brandy Evans, Jamie Lucario, and Stacey Voight, along with 13 great grandchildren and 1 on the way.

Services were held on Monday, 11 May 2015 at the Church of Christ in Guthrie, OK. He was buried in McKinley Cemetery in Meridian, OK.
