Hugh "Bo" Wilson
(November 19, 1941 - November 30, 2008)

Hugh "Bo" Wilson was born November 19, 1941 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Doyle and Pauline (Story) Wilson. He passed away on November 30, 2008 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years and 11 days.

Bo was a farmer-rancher, a loving and supportive husband, a loving and dependable Dad… a never-tiring Grandpa that was wrapped around the fingers of his five adoring grandchildren… that’s Bo Wilson.

Bo walked this earth with only one purpose in his heart, to serve the Lord God and to serve others. His humility, honesty, integrity and character was known true by all who ever met him.

If asked what hobbies Bo enjoyed, we would say that he loved fixing things, helping other people in need, tinkering in the barn, building playhouses, tire swings and anything else that would bring a smile and a laugh to the faces of his grandchildren.

Bo was formerly a member of the Crescent School Board. He was a longtime Deacon and Elder of the First Christian Church, as well as a supportive and active member of our Crescent Community. His son, Luke, was blessed to have worked at his side for so many years. His daughter, Karen, loved seeing her Daddy pull up to her back door on his 4-wheeler every Saturday morning, to enjoy long, private conversations with him.

Bo Wilson is loved by his wife, Judy, loved and respected by his two children, Karen and Luke, simply adored by his five grandchildren, cherished by his daughter-in-law, Dawn, and loved by his joke-swapping son-in-law, Chris; five sisters, Doylene Grimm of Enid, Phyllis Ross of Crescent, Betty Oswald of Crescent, Jerry Lueck of Buckeye, AZ, and Rita O’Kelley of Duncan, OK; one brother, Layton Wilson of Broken Arrow, OK; He is preceded in death by his parents and by his father-in-law, Leo Payne and his mother-in-law, Gladys Payne. Bo is a man that was loved by everyone, who’s life he had ever touched.

How do we remember Bo Wilson? He was a strong, Christian man, who loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all of his heart, all of his soul, all of his strength, and all of his mind. The Lord God filled his heart with love for everyone. We have all seen and felt this love. His love for others never ran out, because a heart filled with God’s love, always has love to give.

Bo Wilson is now with The Lord, but he will always be with us, in our minds and in our hearts. We look forward to being with him again, in heaven.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the First Christian Church with Pastor Keith Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at the Crescent Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at abernathyaaron.com.
