Charles "Pat" Fredie Paterson passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021. He was born to Jake and Dorothy (Helms) Patterson on December 6, 1941 in Corning, Arkansas.
Pat grew up and stuck around his hometown in Arkansas for a while, then went on to serve his country with the Marines. He then made his way to Oklahoma where he met and married Ardith Dingman. They married on September 17, 1971 in Missouri. Pat always dreamed of following his fathers’ footsteps and becoming a truck driver, which he did from the age of 21. Pat worked for Millers Truck Lines for over 50 years and absolutely loved working for them. The Millers became like family to him. Pat and Ardith drove as a team for almost 40 years together. Pat was an amazing man who just loved to work and would work very hard to provide for his family. He believed in what he believed in and fought for it. Pat was the foundation for so many especially his family. He was as solid as a rock and will be deeply missed. Pat is preceded in death by his daughter Vicki Rowen, son Bobby Jo Cody, his parents Jake and Dorothy Patterson and brother Donald Paterson.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Ardith Paterson, son Donald Gene Cody, sister Kathy Reeves and her husband Jerry and son-in-law Raymond Rowen, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Parks Brothers Stroud Chapel with Mike Mitchell officiating, with burial to follow at Stroud Cemetery.
