Donna Shirl Miller Morton

Donna Shirl (Miller) Morton, long-time resident of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at home in Meeker, Oklahoma, with her daughter at her side.

Donna was born on November 10, 1946, in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Willie Shirl and Rachel Edith (McCool) Miller. Donna was a long-time Chandler resident. Donna attended school in Chandler and graduated from Chandler High School in 1964. After high school, she attended, and taught, at a local beauty school.

Donna married her high school sweetheart Roy Mauch on June 19, 1964. Donna and Roy were married for 27 years until his passing in March of 1992. On July 3, 1993, she married Lee Morton at Midway Assembly of God in Wellston, Oklahoma. Donna and Lee were married for 28 years before he preceded her in death on September 8, 2021.

Donna served the Lord in ministry for over 40 years. She was the lead pastor at Living Waters in Meeker for 25 years. She was an evangelist, and the founding pastor of Midway Assembly of God Church in Wellston. She served as the statewide women’s director for the Pentecostal Church of God for 2 years, and she served as the secretary of the ministerial alliance in Meeker for many years where she had the honor of assisting many members of her community.

Donna was very musical. She loved to sing and play the piano. She enjoyed traveling, especially to her favorite place, Matagorda Beach, Texas, where she went every summer, often taking her family with her.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Rachel Miller; husband, Roy Mauch, and husband, Lee Morton. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Amanda Berry and her husband, Brent; a son, Travis Mauch and his wife, Donna; her stepchildren, Johnny Morton II and his wife, Tory, Alterra Woodard and her husband, Joe, and Denise Carder and her husband, Donnie; A granddaughter, Royanna Lee Berry; a sister, Doris Payne; a niece, Wendy Sickels and her husband, Tony; and many other friends and family.
