LAURENS VANDERSTRAETEN
1937 - 2011


Prague resident Laurens Vanderstraeten departed this life on December 18, 2011 in Prague, Oklahoma at the age of 74.
He was born July 23, 1937 in Zierikee, Netherlands, the son of Charles and Sara Korteweg.
Laurens married Tami Simon on December 20, 1995.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sibling; a daughter, Michelle and a great great grandchild, Jamarione Myers.
Survivors include five sons, Dwayne Vanderstraeten of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Neal Vanderstraeten of Colorado; Tim Vanderstraeten of Missouri; Jeffrey Vanderstraeten of Canada and Kenny Simon of Moore, Oklahoma; three daughters, Sarah Rhone of Prague, Barbara Jonas of Montana and Lisa Vanderstraeten-Mitchum of Prague; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
