JOYCE D. TAYLOR
1938 - 2009


Joyce D. Martin Taylor, longtime Lincoln County resident, passed away Monday, August 24, 2009 in Stroud, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years.
The daughter of the late Homer Martin and Geneva Downs Martin, Joyce was born on March 27, 1938 in Phoenix, Arizona.
She came to Oklahoma with her parents and family as a small child, settling in Lincoln County, graduating from Chandler High School.
She was united in marriage to Olen Robinson in l957 and to this union two children, Sherial and Olen was born.
She later married Carl L. Taylor in October of 1974 and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1996.
Joyce was of the Holiness Faith; she enjoyed working puzzles of all kinds; playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her two children, Sherial Clark and her husband Roy; and Olen Robinson and his wife Terri; all of Chandler; two brothers, Darrel Martin of Hennessey; and Harlin Martin of Shawnee; three sisters, Wanda Tonubbee of Davenport; Jenny Fickess of Kendrick; and Glenda Martin of Stroud; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the White Dove Cemetery at Sparks, Oklahoma with Reverend Leon Williams of Chandler officiating.
