BETTY RAE DAVIDSON
1940 - 2011


Betty Rae Smith Davidson, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 in her residence at the age of 71 years.
The daughter of the late James A. Smith and Neola Campbell Smith, Betty was born on October 12, 1940 in Oilton, Oklahoma, where she was also raised and educated.
She was united in marriage to Cecil Davidson on November 26, 1955 in Bristow.
The couple established their home in Cushing and had resided here since that time. To this union three children, Bobby, Gary and Michael were born.
Betty was an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of almost 56 years, Cecil, of the home; two sons, Gary Wayne Davidson and his wife Tammy of Cushing and Michael Davidson and his wife Clarice of Cushing; seven grandchildren, Billy Davidson, Cynthia Courtright, Bradley Davidson, Amber Davidson, Justin Davidson, Kevin Davidson and Ryan Davidson; two great-grandchildren; one brother, James L. Smith and his wife Carolyn of Bristow; three sister, Phyllis Novac of Midland, Texas, Wanda Fowler of Drumright and Elizabeth Guinn of the state of Washington and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Leon Davidson and one brother, Ronnie Quinn.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Parkland Cemetery.
