Everett Lee Easley

Everett Lee Easley, age 70 of Stillwater formerly of Cushing, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 23, 2011. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the First Free Will Baptist Church, Cushing. Mr. Curtis Cooper will officiate and Mrs. Tabbitha Easley will speak.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Everett was born on April 2, 1941, in Cushing, Oklahoma to the late William Allen and Lena (Pruitt) Easley. He attended school in Cushing. Everett entered the U. S. Navy on August 19, 1959. He served during the Vietnam Era, returning home in 1965. Everett married the love of his life Charlotte Hubbard on October 23, 1965, in Cushing. They lived in Cushing for twenty years before moving to Siloam Spring, Ark. He worked for the John Brown University as Facilities Services Director then an Electrical and Instrumentation Services until his retirement in 2008. After retirement, he returned to John Brown University where he worked until February of 2011 when his health grew increasing worse. While his children were young, he coached wrestling and little league. They were members of the Lowery Free Will Baptist Church where he taught Adult Sunday school. He enjoyed fishing, especially when his sons where younger. He was a member of the American Legion. They moved back to Stillwater and were attending the First Freewill Baptist Church in Cushing.

Survivors include his wife Charlotte of the home, sons Darren Lee Easley of Kauai, Hawaii, Timothy Paul Easley and wife Tabbitha of Siloam Springs, AR., Michael Duane Easley of Guthrie, brother Lesley R. Easley and wife Rhoda of Tampa, Fl., sisters Essie Mae Quinn of Dubois, Pn., Carol Lorine Hatem and husband John of Lincoln, Ca., Erval France of Cushing, Bonnie Bristow and husband Bob of Weldon,Ca., Helen Deloris Andrews and husband Kieth of Weldon, Ca., Mary Ellen Hall of Cushing, seven grandchildren Tessa, Teniel, Taryn, Teague, Tru, Duane and Tiffany.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Janette Kay Easley, brothers Robert Eugene Ravia and Thomas Allen Easley.

Memorials may be made to Judith Carmen Hospice, Stillwater, Ok.
