Opal Margaurite Adams

Opal Margaurite Adams was born August 3, 1926 in Cordell, Oklahoma to Ruben and Margaret (Handle) Anderson. She passed away December 29, 2013 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years.
 
Born in Cordell she moved to Crescent at a young age and attended Crescent schools. After school she married Arnold “Buck” Adams on January 4, 1948 in Guthrie. They lived on the Skeleton Creek and then moved to Guthrie. In 1964 they moved to Cashion and Opal owned and operated Wildcat Café’ until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, dominos, swimming, traveling to see relatives, and her OSU Cowboys.
 
Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Adams of Cashion and Debbie Byrum and husband Dean of Inola, OK; two sons, Robert Adams and wife Marsha of Cashion and Clayton Adams also of Cashion; one sister, Betty Troyer of Crescent; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arnold “Buck” Adams, one sister, three brothers, and one great grandson.
 
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 6, 2014 at the First Christian Church in Cashion with Pastor Mark LeMarr officiating. Burial will follow in the Cashion Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent
