Scott Allen Kerr, Sr. of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away on May 22, 2021 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 64 years.

Scott Allen Kerr was born on May 31, 1956 in Fairfax, Oklahoma the son of Joe Melvin Kerr and Laura Elsie (Holland) Kerr.

He worked in the oil field in the Shidler, Oklahoma area most of his life, and later became a truck driver, most recently for Payne Trucking before retiring around 2019.

He enjoyed taking his dog for a walk, arrow head hunting and BBQ’ing.

Scott married Melinda Kerr on October 4, 1975. She preceded him in death on April 17, 1999. He later married Janice Petty on September 8, 2001 in Webb City, Oklahoma. She survives.

Other survivors include sons, Scott Kerr, Jr. “Scottie” and wife, Maria and Sonny Kerr; step-children, Derek Compala (Mandy), Nick Compala (Tammy), Inez Stephens (Albert); siblings, Louie Slatten (Robert) and Ron Kerr (Sheryl); 11 grandchildren, Matthew Kerr, Andrew Kerr, Kurtis Kerr, Gage Kerr, Melinda Kerr, Palladin Compala, Cantrell Compala, Kaplan Compala, Kristen Stephens, Madelyn Stephens, Grace Stephens; and 1 great-grandchild, Brantley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Bill Kerr and Jim Kerr; as well as a great-nephew, Ronnie Rojas.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City, Oklahoma with Pastor Bill Long of Bowring, Oklahoma officiating.

Casket bearers will be Matthew Kerr, Andrew Kerr, Kurtis Kerr, Gage Kerr, Palladin Compala, Cantrell Compala and Kaplan Compala.
