August 4, 1976 ~ January 2, 2021

Brian Gene Goddard passed from this life on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at the young age of 44. He started his journey in Ponca City, Oklahoma on August 4, 1976 with his parents, Billy Gene and Susie Goddard.

Brian grew up in the Newkirk area attending Newkirk Public School and graduated high school in 1992. In March of 1996 he found the love of his life, Lenette Park, whom he made his bride May 8, 1999. Together they were raising their two girls, Megan and Taytum. When Brian became a Dad, he had no greater joy. From Megan’s first breath she had her Daddy wrapped around her little finger. He could always be found in the stands supporting her in all her activities, from rodeo to basketball. When he was blessed with a second daughter, he built a special bond with her too. They shared many a laugh and enjoyed giving each other a hard time, specially over the silly things they could come up with.

He loved the outdoors, camping and fishing trips were held regularly with the family. No matter where he was or who he was with, you knew he was cutting up and picking on those he loved. Brian had a great sense of humor that went along with his ornery streak. His loving big heart was visible to anyone he interacted with. Although he could be a little hardheaded at times, he was always willing to help out his friends and family. He was known to volunteer himself when someone mentioned needing to get something done. Brian was also a member of the Braman Saddle Club.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lenette, and daughters Megan and Taytum, mom and stepdad, Susie and Randy Lubbers, sister, Debbie and husband Jesse Wood, sister-in-law, Nicole and husband Jeremy Willett, step siblings, Joe Lubbers and Christy Lubbers, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Brian is preceded in death by his dad, Billy, grandparents, Merrell and Bernadine Goddard, and Gould and Vernice Pidcock, uncle, Darrell Goddard, aunt, Kay Jones and cousin, Jason Jones.

There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 3pm to 7pm at Grace Memorial Chapel. The immediate family will be available for receiving guests during the visitation. A Graveside Service will be held in Brian’s honor at 2pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City with Pastor Bill McKissick presiding. Pallbearers will include Jesse Wood, Jeremy Willett, Dalton, Goddard, Joe Lubbers, Gene Malone, Keith Hobaugh, and Javier Perez. Honorary Bearers are Nicole Willett, Dave Byrd and Randy Lubbers.
