Owen Tompkins Dickerson
August 1, 1930 - October 1, 2023

Owen Tompkins Dickerson of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the Journey Home in Dewey, Oklahoma, at the age of 93 years.

Owen was born on August 1, 1930 to Glenn and Alice Dickerson. They settled in Tonkawa and lived there until 1937. They then moved to Blackwell.

Following his high school graduation, Owen joined the United States Air Force. On his return he met Patricia Charlene Dunger and they were married in 1954.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dickerson of the home; son, Mike Dickerson of Texas; his daughter, Cindy and her husband, Steve Sutherland; 2 granddaughters, Stephanie Link and Stacy Link; 2 great-grandsons, Charley Link and Dalton Link.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 at the Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City, OK, under the direction of Roberts and Son Funeral Home of Blackwell.
