On January 23, 2007, Mark and Adrienne Triplett were gifted with their precious, Brooklyn Enae Triplett in Ardmore, OK. From the day she was born; her outward beauty would astound. As she grew older; her inward beauty would confound. She was an old soul who knew that all that glitters isn’t gold and that true beauty lies within. There was literally nothing that she couldn’t accomplish once she set her mind to it. She loved art and nature. She racked up numerous rings, awards, and trophies both on and off the field. She loved playing softball growing up and was a natural at an early age. Her father took great pride and loved coaching her into the amazing young woman she became. She was a champion for the underdog and one of the first to lend an ear or helping hand to someone in need (so long as washing dishes wasn’t involved). For her brothers Dorion, Colt, and Bear, it wasn’t a helping hand they would get, but a playful "catch these hands" joke (mostly). She felt and loved so deeply.

On March 22, 2022, tragedy struck our small town. Brooklyn earned her wings that day along with five other beautiful angels she called friends. The T6 girls live their lives unapologetically and wholly. We can only one day hope to live a life so carefree, wonderous, and fulfilled as they. The rest of the world will know her as one of the Tishomingo six, but she will always be our #22. As she has done so many times in the past, she stole home despite her coaches wishes.

The Triplett family hopes that friends, family, and the community can join them in celebrating the life and times of Brooklyn Enae Triplett. Brooklyn’s Celebration of Life Ceremony will be just that. “A Celebration of life”.

Those wishing to attend are asked to wear something colorful and comfortable to help celebrate such a beautiful soul. She may have left this world too soon, but she left it a much better place. Chipisalacho (until we meet again), Princess Brooklyn Baby Big Girl.

The celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2022 at Camp Bond in Tishomingo. Officiating the service will be Reverend David Lewis.

Those serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dorion Underwood, Samuel Colt Triplett, Bear Minko Triplett, Luke Triplett, Joey Triplett, Zac Floyd, Julian Floyd, Breanna Floyd, Payton Lynn Deaton, Jacie Lowe, Drew Harcrow, Jacelyn Studdard, Ava Studdard, Kitana Hall, Khloe Curtis, Kaitlyn Smith.

A tree planting ceremony will follow the service at Seeley Cemetery in Connerville.

NTSB: Oklahoma teens' car made 'rolling stop' before crash


OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A small, four-seat, car carrying six Oklahoma teenagers reportedly failed to come to a full stop before entering an intersection where it was hit by a large truck, killing all of the teens, the National Transportation Safety Board said Thursday.
 

“Witnesses reported the (vehicle) made a ‘rolling stop’ at the stop sign and entered (the intersection),” where it was struck Tuesday by the truck that was hauling rocks, according to a statement from NTSB spokesperson Peter Knudson.
 

The southbound semitrailer struck the left front of the eastbound vehicle carrying the girls and both vehicles departed the roadway, according to the NTSB.
 

The six girls, ages 15-17, were in a Chevrolet Spark that is designed to carry four passengers and only two of the six were wearing seat belts, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
 

The driver of the truck was not injured, according to the NTSB, which sent four investigators and a family assistance specialist to Tishomingo, about 100 miles southeast of Oklahoma City, to look into the collision.


The girls were students at Tishomingo High School and were on a lunch break at the time, according to district Superintendent Bobby Waitman.
