Clark's Funeral Service

Funeral Services for Mr. Adam “Skip” Fillmore, Jr., 69, of Ada, Oklahoma will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2:00 p. m. at the Sandy Creek Presbyterian Church in the Fillmore Community with Brother Allen Beck officiating. Interment will follow in the Sandy Creek Cemetery with Military Honors provided by The Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard. Mr. Fillmore passed away on December 15, 2015 at the Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Visitation and Viewing will be held on Sunday afternoon beginning at 4 pm at the church, with a wake service beginning at 6 p. m.

 Skip was born November 24, 1946 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Adam Fillmore and Mary (Holden) Fillmore. He graduated from high school in Colorado and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. During his time in the military, he worked as a Medical Corpsman and received many commendations to include, Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, Combat Medical Badge and the Army Commendation Medal. After his discharge, he attended Haskell Junior College in Lawrence, Kansas. Skip continued his education at East Central University in Ada, receiving a BS degree in Behavioral Health. He worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor for the United States Government in the Indian Health Services Department in Albuquerque, New Mexico for over 20 years, until his retirement. He loved to play softball and was a very accomplished pitcher, having played in different parts of the country. Skip married Theressa Blue on April 24, 2015 in Fillmore.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

 Skip is survived by his wife Theressa, of the home, three daughters, Jessie Fillmore of Oklahoma City, Shayla Murphy and Alyssa Buck, both of Ada, two sons, Jason Murdock of Oklahoma City and Dustin Buck of Ada, his brother, Charles Wolf of Tishomingo, a nephew, Charles “Chuck” Wolf and a niece, Myrissa West, as well as, other relatives and friends.

 Pallbearers for the service will be: Dustin Murphy, Dustin Buck, Daniel Cardinalle, Charles Wolf, Michael Perkins and Josh Factor.
