John Wesley Bond 78, of Achille, Oklahoma passed away Thursday morning February 14, 2013 at Plano Specialty Hospital. He was born May 14, 1934 in Connerville, Oklahoma to George Carter and Lottie Harrington Bond.

He attended Achille schools and was an US Army veteran during the Korean War.

He was employed as an electrician for many years at Re-Drill. After retiring there he worked for Bryan County District 2 in Achille and as a farmer. He moved to Achille when he was a small child and lived there all his life.

He was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Rachel Chilton and Fran Crook; and three brothers Wilburn Mayo, Mickey Bond and J. B. Mayo.

Surviving is his son Leslie Carter Bond and wife Stacy of Cartwright; a granddaughter Jessica Bond and two great grandsons, Carter Hogan and Jonathan Hunter.

A Graveside Service for John Bond will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning February 19, 2013 at Connerville Cemetery in Connerville, Oklahoma with Pastor Ernest Martel officiating.

Family hour will be from 3-5 Sunday afternoon at Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert. The register book may be signed and online condolences be made at cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com.
