Billie Sue Byrd was born December 23, 1955 to Romia Buffington and Hancil Lee Roy Ritter.

She passed away in Fort Smith, Arkansas on September 22, 2020 at the age of 64.

She was one of the best big sisters and friends anyone could have asked for.

Billie Sue was united in marriage to Howard Byrd on April 6, 2019.

Billie Sue had three children, two of whom preceded her in passing, Jeffrey Russell Bouse and Tina Faye Bouse. Jerry Dee Stone, her oldest son, survives his mother to raise his children and her grandchildren, Carson, Dylan and Kara.

She is survived by her sisters, Karen Jean Dardar of the home, Vickie Lee Ange (Mitch) of Cache, OK, Elizabeth Ann LaPointe (Louis) of Goshen AL and Deborah Ritter Brooks (Larry) of Spiro OK.  She had numerous nieces and nephews (some of whom she helped to raise) too numerous to list but loved dearly.

Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Glenn and Gary Ritter, Bennie Aaron Cooper Jr.; one sister, Ruby Gaye Cooper; her mother, Romia Buffington Hill; her father, Hancil Lee Roy Ritter; her grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Keota City Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 with Rev. Heath Cole officiating.  The service is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.
