Delmar LaFayette Suffridge

Mr. Delmar Suffridge of Lubbock, Texas passed away December 19, 2006 at the age of 87 in a Nursing facility. He had been ill for sometime.

Mr. Suffridgre graduated from Lakecreek High School near Granite, OK in 1937. He attended Mangum Junior College, He then went to Southwestern College in Weatherford, OK where he met Velda Jantzen of Hammon, OK. He also attended  Texas Tech, and  Abilene Christian University. He and Velda Jantzen were married in Weatherford, Okla. on Nov. 30, 1941. They had one son, Paul of Midland, TX, and two daughters, Cheryl of Stillwater, OK and Jan and husband, Steve, of Chuckey, TN. Also several grandchildren.

Delmar joined the US Army and served in the Medical Corps from 1942 to 1944.
