July 20, 1923 - November 27, 2020

Ruth Owen Bradley, more affectionately known as Mom Ruth, was born on July 20, 1923, and entered into heavenly eternal life on November 27, 2020.

Ruth was born in Alamota, Kansas, the daughter of Roy and Amy Kenyon Owen.

Ruth married Leland Bradley, and they enjoyed 62 years together.

Her children are Harry (Skeeter) Bradley and wife Louise, Shirlene Bradley McKee and husband Lester, and Bonita Bradley Sharp and husband Ernie. She is survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to the United Methodist Church of Jefferson or Wakita Community Health Center.

Ruth Owen Bradley, more affectionately known as Mom Ruth, was born on July 20, 1923 and entered into heavenly eternal life on November 27, 2020.

Ruth was born in Alamosa, Kansas, the daughter of Roy and Amy Canyon Owen. She moved to Grant County with her mother and brother Kenneth, after her father passed away in 1926. They lived on the Kenyan Farm West of Jefferson, Oklahoma to take care of her mother's father.

While growing up, she attended Riverdale grade school and graduated from Jefferson high school. After graduation, Ruth married Leland Bradley and they enjoyed 62 years together. Ruth was very good with a needle, and excellent seamstress and made most of her children's clothes, which look like they were purchased from a store. Ruth worked at the variety store in Medford, at the Jefferson post office for 20 years, and was secretary and bookkeeper at Bradley's Garage for over 30 years.

Her children are Harry (Skeeter) Bradley and wife Louise, Shirlene Bradley McKee and husband Lester, and Bonita Bradley Sharp and husband Ernie. Grandchildren are Russell McKee, Randall McKee, Ty Sharp and wife Cassie, Angela Buller and husband Troy, Melissa Bradley Hower and husband Mike. Great-grandchildren are KaLanne Mckee, Devan McKee, Richard Sharp and wife Chandra, Brittany Peck and husband Bryant, Maranda Buller, Eli Buller, Billie Joe Gorache, Danny Gorache, Marshall Hower, Morgan Hower, and Mason Hower. Great – great – grandchildren are Uriah Sharp and Blakely Peck.

She was laid to rest in the Pond Creek Cemetery on December 1, 2020.

Memorials may be sent to the United Methodist Church of Jefferson or Wakita community health center. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, Oklahoma.
