July 6, 1962 - December 23, 1995

Nash – The funeral for Layne Dean Zander will be Tuesday at 2 PM in Nash Christian Church with the Rev. Earle B. Van Slyck officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery, under direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.

Zander was born July 6, 1962, in Enid to Larry and Linda Campbell Zander and died Saturday, December 23, 1995 at Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital.

He attended Jet – Nash school graduating in 1980. He earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture economics from Oklahoma State University in 1984. Zander married Terri Metcalf on December 22, 1984, at Jet.

Zander was Vice President of the Bank of Hennessey, Enid Branch. He served as an elder and Treasurer of the Nash Christian Church.

He was a member of the Nash Lions Club, Farm House Fraternity, American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and board member of the Enid Chamber of Commerce.

Zander is survived by his wife, Terri, daughters Addie Jo and Anna Dawn all of the home; parents Larry and Linda Zander, and sister Lara Meyer all of Nash.

He was preceded in death by sister, Tara Dawn Zander.

Memorials may be made to the Nash Christian Church or the Nash Fireman's Fund.
