Lamont Cemetery



Lamont – Geneva M. Gautier, 68, died Wednesday at an Enid hospital from injuries received in a car – pedestrian accident a few weeks ago in Lamont. The funeral will be 1 PM Saturday at the First Christian Church at Lamont with Rev. Daniel A. Sanford officiating. Burial will be at the Lamont Cemetery directed by Lamont – Deer Creek Funeral Home.

The casket will remain closed at all times. Visitation is from 9 AM to noon Saturday.

She was born March 2, 1918, in Little York, Indiana, to Logan and Vanda Bridgewater and moved at an early age to Lamont where she attended Liberty country school and Lamont high school. In 1938, she married Charlie Gautier in Denton, Texas. In the early 1950s the couple returned to the Lamont area. He died July 4, 1985. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Lamont.

Survivors include three sons, Charles, Galveston, Texas, Dennis, Sante, Texas, and L. C., Oklahoma City; a daughter, Connie Repepi, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; five grandchildren; a brother, Harold Bridgewater, New Harmony, Indiana; and three sisters, Lucille Davenport, Garciasville, Texas; Goldie Booker, Wolcott, Indiana; and Atlas Karr, Illinois.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
