Jack Wayne Morgan

Jack Wayne Morgan, 70, Rush Springs, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2006 in Rush Springs.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at the First Assembly of God in Rush Springs, with Rev. Quinton Newton officiating.

Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.

Jack was born Monday, October 26, 1936 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma to the late William Grant and the late Jewel V. [Swinney] Morgan.

Jack married Lyvon [Hughes] Morgan on July 31, 1956 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma.

He was a man of few words but the ones he said counted. Jack only called his brother Walter one time and that was when Jamie was born.

He enjoyed the coffee shop, fishing, riding horses and telling fish stories.

Jack was a farmer and truck driver for Hi-Vi Dog Food. He also pulled trailers for Ted Cline.

Jack's fondest memories was when he found out Lyvon was pregnant, the day Judy was born and when his grandchildren were born.

He served in the US Navy and attended the First Assembly of God in Rush Springs.

Survivors include, wife, Lyvon Morgan of the home; daughter, Judy Loomis of Coppell, TX; two grandchildren, Jamie Loomis, Nathan Loomis; three brothers, William Earl Morgan & wife Lee of Rush Springs, OK; Bobby Morgan & wife Betty of Ninnekah, OK; Walter Morgan & wife Deborah of Rescue, CA; sister, Marie Robert & husband Will J. of Sayre, OK; host of nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers: Scott Dennis, Kevin Dennis, John Morgan, Donnie Morgan, Kevin Morgan, Matthew Hughes, Randy Green, Donald Loomis.

The family would like to send a special thanks to the people of First Assembly of God, Grady Memorial Hospital and all the friends who helped and supported us during Jack's illness.
