John Roy Dorman

John Roy Dorman , 85, Rush Springs, OK, passed away Friday, September 29, 2006 in Rush Springs.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, with Rev. Elmer Whitehead officiating.

Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Oklahoma.

John was born Tuesday, April 12, 1921 in Rush Springs, to the late Jesse Dorman and the late Carrie Taylor Dorman.

John married the late Ozella Willmon on January 10, 1947 in Lawton.

John lived his whole life on the same farm, except for the 5 years when he lived in Duncan.

He was a member of the Rush Springs Riding Club.

He enjoyed being with his dog Gizmo. He loved his tractor, pickup and working on his farm.

He served as a Medic in World War II.

John was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs.

Survivors include, son, Randy Dorman and wife Pam of Chickasha, OK; two daughters, Debi Garner and husband Tony of Rush Springs, OK; Carrie Gibson and husband Jerry of Thomas, OK; nine grandchildren, Brandy, Canon, David Dorman, Salina Garner, Josh Gibson, Derek Dorman, Tony Lundgrun, Kari Garner, Carissa Bates, Jesse Gibson; six great grandchildren, Ashleigh Seely, Dylan Dorman, Tabitha Gibson, Cole Lundgrun, Landon Garner; two nephews, Woody Meek, Gary Meek; niece, Darlene Jayroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ozella Willmon, and two sisters: Dorothy and Katherine.

Friends will be received at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral HOme, Rush Springs, Oklahoma.

Ozella Laverne [Willmon] Dorman

Services for Ozella Laverne Dorman, 75, of Rush Springs, OK will be held at Southern Baptist Church, Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Eddie Coast will officiate. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.

Ozella Laverne Dorman was born Sunday, July 7, 1929 in Amber, Oklahoma to the late Robert Willmon and Mary Emma (Dollarhide) Willmon and died Saturday, April 23, 2005 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

She was married to John Roy Dorman on January 10, 1947 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. She worked at Chickasha Laundry.

Zell attended school at Rush Springs. She lived in Rush Springs most of her life. Zell lived a short time in California where she worked at a Lemon House packing Lemons. She also worked in several local businesses including the Twilight Bungalow, Taylors Restaurant, The Host Restaurant, Stidham Horse Trailers and 14 years at Chickasha Laundry. Zell was a member of the Riding Club and enjoyed riding horses. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, making afghans and crocheting. She also collected old records, antiques, and Barbies and loved working in her flower garden.

Survivors include her husband, John Roy Dorman of Rush Springs, OK; son, Randy Dorman & wife Pam of Chickasha, OK; two daughters, Debi Garner & husband Tony of Rush Springs, OK and Carrie Gibson & husband Jerry of Thomas, OK; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Robert Willmon & wife Norma of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Betty Copeland & husband Harley of Ft. Worth, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Jewel, Alfred, Buster & Aubrey Dean & three sisters, Louise, Ima & Barbara.

Pallbearers will be Derek Dorman, Josh Dorman, Chad Cannon, Jesse Gibson, David Dorman, and Luke Lundgren.
