Fred Thomas Caveny

Funeral services for Fred Thomas Caveny, 79, of Rush Springs, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2004, at Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs. Rev. Elmer Whitehead will officiate.

Fred Thomas Caveny was born Feb. 14, 1925, in Clovis, N.M., and died on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Rush Springs, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow, Okla.

Edna Charlene [Townsend] Caveny

Rush Springs: Edna Charlene Caveny, 82, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 in Marlow.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs with Terry Beard officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.

Charlene was born Monday, July 7, 1930 in Arkansas, to Charles Wesley and Jocie Ellen [Sharp] Townsend. Charlene lived in the Rush Springs area all of her life and attended the Berling Schools. She married Fred Thomas Caveny on November 19, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2004. Charlene and Fred owned and operated the Rush Springs Hardware store for several years. She enjoyed listening to Charles Stanley, sewing and cooking for her family. Charlene was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs.

Survivors include, three sons, Larry Caveny and wife Karen of Rush Springs, Nolan Caveny and wife Linda of Marlow, Lynn Caveny and wife Adrienne of Lawton; six grandchildren;14 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, James Townsend and wife Jan and Bill Townsend, both of Rush Springs; several nieces and nephews.

Charlene was also preceded in death by her parents.
