Mary Melvina "Molly" [Pruiett] Conn
1866 ~ August 19, 1941


LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. CONN TUESDAY

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Mary Melvina Conn, with Rev. I. A. Harrison officiating.

Mrs. Conn died Sunday morning at 730 o'clock after a lingering illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ben White, southwest of town. Mrs. Conn was 74 years of age.

Surviving members of her family are Three daughters, Mrs. Mae Harper of Broken Bow, Okla; Mrs. Ben White, Cement, and Mrs. Orpha Estess, Gresham, Oregon; one son, Jasper Conn of Maud, Okla; two stepchildren, Mrs. Jewel Hudson of Wolf, Okla, and Bud Conn of McAlester; and one sister, Mrs. LucyMayberry of Blair, Okla.

Interment was in the Verden Cemetery.

ROBERT J. CONN SERVICES HELD AT 2 P.M. JULY 18

Last rites for Robert J. Conn of southwest of Verden, were conducted at 2 p.m., July 18 at the Verden Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Swanson, Blanchard, officiating. Burial was in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of the Hansen Funeral Home.

Mrs. J. N. Kern, Mrs. C. W. Hamill, Mrs. Donald Brown and Mrs. Harry Dodson sang "Jesus Saviour Pilot Me" and "Rock of Ages." Mrs. I. H. Bilbrey played.

Casket bearers were A. V. Heavin, Ramond Ferris, L. E. Ferris, L. E. Winn, Chester Heavin and Lester Heavin.

Mr. Conn was born February 17, 1891 at Ada, Okla. and passed away at 5:30 p.m. July 15 at the age of 60 years and five months.

He was married in 1912 to Goldie May Norman at Hazel, Okla. She and two sons preceded him in death. The family moved from Hazel to near Verden in 1941.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Loretta Price, Overton, Minn; five sons, Norvel and Vernon Conn of the home address; Johnny Conn, LeGrande, Ore.; Carl Conn, U. S. Navy; Dewey Conn, U. S. Army, Ft. Sill; and three sisters, Mrs. Mae Osborne, Broken Bow, Okla.; Mrs. Lou White, south of Verden and Mrs. Orpha Estes, Wenanchee, Wash.

Goldie Mae [Norman] Conn
August 8, 1893 ~ February 16, 1949


Goldie Mae Norman was born August 8, 1894 at Duncan, Okla. and departed this life at her home southwest of Verden, February 19, 1949 at the age of 54 years, 6 months and 11 days.

She was married September 29, 1912 at Maud, Okla. to Robert J. Conn. They moved to near Verden in 1941.

Mrs. Conn was a member of the Baptist Church.

One son preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Loretta Price, Wolverton, Minnesota; five sons: Norvel and Vernon Conn of the home address; Johnnie L eo Conn, La Grandie, Oregon; Carl Conn, U. S. Navy and Dewey Conn, U. S. Army; one sister, Mrs. Virgie Farley, Edmond; five brothers: Walker Norman, Strou d; John Wesley, Jessie, Dan and Sam Normal all of Bakersfield, Calif.; and 5 grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 22 at the Baptist Church, Verden, with Rev. Garland Anderson, Pastor, officiating. Songs were Beautiful Isle, In The Garden and Rock of Ages. Mrs. J. N. Kern, Mrs. Harry Dodson, Mrs. C. W. Hamill and Mrs. Donald Brown sang and Mrs. I. H. Bilbrey was at the piano.

Casket bearers were Lawrence Winn, Fred Newberry, Lester Heavin, Chester Heavin, Lewis Ferris and Raymond Ferris.

Interment was in the Verden Cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
