Temptis Jewel [Davis] Bradshaw
September 21, 1933 ~ May 31, 2010


Funeral service for Temptis Jewel Bradshaw, age 76, of Verden, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2010, at the Bible Baptist Church, Chickasha. Brother Kim Hayes will officiate.

Temptis Jewel Bradshaw was born the daughter of A.C. Davis and Hazel Morris Davis on September 21, 1933, in Tahoka, Texas. She died on May 31, 2010 at her home near Verden.

Temptis married Ray Bradshaw on March 5, 1963, in Tahoka, Texas. They moved to Lubbock, Texas, where she was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. They then moved to Hobbs, New Mexico where they lived for 23 years.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, serving in many roles including the bus ministry. She was very active in the Senior Citizens Center and was a member of the Jubilee Choir. In February of 2009, she moved to her home east of Verden. She was a good artist and won several awards for her artwork. Temptis was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, Chickasha.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Bradshaw; father, A.C. Davis; brothers, Mikel and Dickie Davis.

She is survived by: Daughter: Linda Trice of Verden, Daughter: Donna Pollard of Dean, Texas, Son: Elton Bradshaw of Hobbs, New Mexico, Mother: Hazel Kelley of Hale Center, Texas, Brother: Leon Davis of San Antonio, Texas; Brother: Kenneth Kelley of Idalou, Texas, Eight Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
