Mary Clara Lucy Inda "Mollie" [Hays] Moody

Mary Clara Lucy Inda [Mollie] was the 3rd child and only daughter to Elihue Marion Hayes and Elmira Hill Hayes. Mollie was born in TN.,Lawerence County.

At some point, Elihue and family plus some extended family moved to Arkansas around 1893. After arriving in Arkansas Elmira gave birth to her last child Marshall "Pete".

Elmira died in 1896 leaving my GGrandpa as the oldest son at 22, daughter Mollie 17, and the only girl, no doubt had a big hand in helping raise the family. The children stayed on in Cleburne County for a number of years, A few lived out their lives here.

At some point, Mollie married Johnny Moody. Mollie and Johnny along with two of her brothers, John and Marshall "Pete" and their families all settled around Rush Springs Oklahoma. They went by wagon and drove their livestock all the way. They were forced to swim the livestock across the Arkansas river as there was no ferry to carry them.

Mollie wrote to her family back in Arkansas and later to her nieces and nephews. She is the one we know the least about because she kept a record of all the family it seems except her self. Would love to know more about this Great Aunt.
