Lucille Inez [Rose] Hamilton

Mrs. Lucille Inez [Rose] Hamilton (90), former resident of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Lyons, Kansas, died Monday, May 30, 2005, at Rosewood Gardens in Troy, New York.

Mrs. Hamilton was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, August 25, 1914, to Ernest and Millicent Rose of Chickasha.

She was a 1933 graduate of Chickasha High School and a 1937 graduate of Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha. She was a member of The First Christian Church in Chickasha.

Mrs. Hamilton began her teaching career in Denoya, Kansas, where she met and married Max C. Hamilton in October of 1938.

After living many years in Kansas, Mrs. Hamilton returned to Chickasha in the spring of 1973, after the death of her husband. She moved to Troy, New York, in the summer of 1989, after the death of her mother, Millicent Rose.

Mrs. Hamilton had been in failing health for the past two years.

She is survived by a son, Tom Hamilton, of Troy, New York, and a daughter, Mrs. Peter [Maxine] Schlundt, of Littleton, Colorado; and three grandchildren, Tom and Laura Hamilton, of Troy, New York, and Jeff Schlundt of Littleton, Colorado.

Memorial services will be held this week in the chapel at Rosewood Gardens in Troy, New York.

A graveside memorial service and interment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma - date to be announced.

Arrangements are being made by John J. Sanbidge Funeral Home, Troy, NY.

William K. "Bill" Hamilton

William K. "Bill" Hamilton was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Anadarko OK to T.C. Hamilton and Artha Bell Frailey Hamilton. He died June 8, 2011, in Oklahoma City OK.

Bill grew up in Anadarko and graduated from Anadarko High School in 1941. He went to work in the oilfield after graduation. On April 6, 1952, he married the love of his life, Gloria Beatrice Bradley, at the First Baptist Church Parlor in Chickasha.

Bill was always a hard worker and full of ambition. After working in the oilfield he re-tipped drilling bits, spent several years on wheat harvesting, owned and operated a Nehi bottling plant in Lawton OK, was a propane distributor, owned and operated the ice dock in Chickasha, and founded the Hamilton Oil Company in 1967, where he retired in 1998.

He was an active member of the First Baptist Church. He was a member of the YMCA and enjoyed starting his day off with a workout. He enjoyed playing golf and giving financial and medical advice to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both parents; sisters Leota Ward, Gladys Proctor, and Lorene Sherer; and brother George Warren Hamilton.

Survivors include his wife Beatrice "Bea" of the home; son Brad Hamilton of Chickasha; daughter Gina Smith and husband John of Marlow OK; granddaughters Mandi Carpenter and husband John of Chickasha, Jordan Seibold and husband Brian of Cement OK, and Haile Hamilton of Chickasha; grandsons Jared Cochran and wife Krista of Chickasha, Zacc Hamilton of Chickasha, and Braeden Cochran of Chickasha; step-granddaughters Holly Parrish and husband Clay of Pocasset OK, and Abbey Smith and husband Daniel of Marlow; nine great-grandchildren; sister Charlotte Vaught of Wayne NE; niece Candy ZumBrunnen and husband Allen; and nephew Richard Sherer and wife Judy.

Gloria Beatrice "Bea" [Bradley] Hamilton

Funeral services for Gloria Beatrice "Bea" Hamilton, 83, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013, in the First Baptist Church with Kim Hayes officiating and Michael Butler assisting.

Gloria Beatrice "Bea" Hamilton was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, on January 3, 1930. She lived in Chickasha her entire life and died on June 30, 2013 in Norman.

Bea was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1939. During that time she was a member of the Adult Sanctuary Choir and the J.O.Y. Choir. She was a part of the Living Christmas Tree for ten years, taught Sunday school classes for different ages and worked in Bible School for many years. She was a member of MacDowell Music Club for thirty plus years.

Bea will be remembered by many as Mrs. Hamilton… the teacher who always read to her students after the noon recess or taught them an unfamiliar language known as "pig latin."

She was preceded in death by: husband; Bill Hamilton, parents; William H. and Lola Bradley, two brothers; Clifford and Haskell Williams.

Survivors include: son; Brad Hamilton of Chickasha, Oklahoma, daughter; Gina Smith and husband John of Marlow, Oklahoma, sister; Doloris Standridge of Chickasha, Oklahoma, six grandchildren; Jordan Hamilton, Haile Hamilton, Mandi and John Carpenter, Jared and Krista Cochran all of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Zach Hamilton of Moore, Oklahoma, Braeden Cochran of Edmond, Oklahoma, two step-grandchildren; Holly and Clay Parrish of Pocasset, Oklahoma and Abbey and Daniel Smith of Minco, Oklahoma, great grandchildren; Taylor, Lauren, Addyson, Blake, Eli and Kallyn, step great grandchildren; Cash, Clayre, Haustin, Ella and Chance.

The family wishes to express our deepest appreciation for the care that the following people gave to our mother: Deborah Blalock, Lea Smiley, Susie Purcell, Tammy Smiley, Betty Lambert and Brad Collins.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
