Viva DeAnne [Trammell] Anthony

Viva DeAnne Anthony was born to James D. Trammell and Mabel Schmidt Trammell on September 5, 1953, in Halstead, Kansas. She passed away on May 6, 2015, at the age of sixty-one, in Hillsboro, Kansas.

She grew up in Oklahoma but was never in one place for very long. DeAnne dedicated her life to raising her two youngest boys. They were born in Kansas then raised in Oklahoma, just as she was.

DeAnne worked as a nurse's aide, speading her joy and love to those who needed it most.

She spent the rest of her time sharing that same love and joy with those closest to her. Her boys were always her first priority, and when they graduated from high school, the first half of her journey was complete.

The next sixteen years would prove to be her finest. DeAnne served as an inspiration and a friend to those she came to know. As she battled her illness, her strength resilience, faith, and pursuit of life were inspirational.

Mom had many interests, She took joy in being an aunt to her five nieces and nine nephews. She spent her best days crocheting, fishing, camping, and endlessly calling her friends and family. She had a way about her that could comfort a crying baby, bring light to the darkest day, and shine through any storm. Mom turned her back on no one, and when she had nothing, she would still give you half.

Mom's last days were filled with family and friends. In the end, DeAnne left this world a little brighter.

She was survived by four sons: Larry Dean and Craig Matthew Anthony, Oklahoma; Stephen Allen Anthony, Hillsboro, Kansas; Loren Keith Anthony, Evergreen, Colorado; her mother, Mabel Trammell, Scio, Oregon; two brothers: Alvin Trammell, Trumann Arkansas; Perry Trammell, Scio, Oregon; two sisters: Beth Koehn, Riceville, Iowa; Sharron Martens, Moundridge, Kansas.
