May 30, 1918 ~ June 7, 2002


Graveside service for Elizabeth Agnes Gibson Barbee, 84, of Chickasha, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2002, at the Rose Hill Cemetery. Wake service was held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2002, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Agnes Gibson Barbee was born May 30, 1918, in Grady County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Tom and Nora [Fealy] Gibson, and died June 7, 2002, in Chickasha.

She was a Homemaker and a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

Elizabeth had worked as a housemother in a California home for boys for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Rufus" Barbee; sisters, Pat Terry and Jane Ferguson; brother, Harry Gibson; granddaughter, Peggy Rock Carrier.

Mrs. Barbee is survived by: daughter and husband, Eluora "Elly" and Vincent Rock, of Chickasha, OK; son and wife, Thomas and Jan Barbee, of Tucson, AZ; grandson, Greg, and wife Judy; granddaughters: Kim, Lara and Karen; 5 great grandchildren: Trey, Lauren, Jordan, Jacob, Alex; 1 brother, Tommy Gibson, of Chickasha.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
