Delores Jane [Wampler] Jennings
February 12, 1940 ~ January 25, 2019


Dolores Jane Jennings, 78, of Midwest City, OK, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019. Dolores was born February 12, 1940 to Daniel Edgar Wampler and Gladys Irene [Ross] Wampler in rural Grady County, OK.

Dolores was raised moving between her parent's farm south of Bridge Creek, OK and Oklahoma City, OK where she graduated from Central High School in 1958.

Following her graduation she met the love of her life Carl Eddie Jennings and they were married on July 29, 1961, and enjoyed 46 years together until Carl passed away in 2007.

Dolores was a long time resident of the Midwest City/Del City area and was a member of Sooner Baptist Church. Dolores was a strong believer in Christ and was very proud of her strong heritage of belief that she inherited from her grandfather Reverend Samuel Lee Ross. She was a prayer warrior and loved her family and church.

She is survived by her one daughter, Rhonda Jones and her husband Todd of Oklahoma City, OK; one son, Michael Jennings and wife Christa of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandchildren, Cory and Jillian Motley, Rachelle Sanders and husband Luke, David Jennings and his wife Caren, and Abigail Jennings; and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

The Jennings family will be receiving friends at Ford Funeral Home on Monday, 28 January 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, 29 January, 2019 at Sooner Baptist Church with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, OK.
