Earl Frederick Brown
March 25, 1931 ~ April 6, 2010


Funeral service for Earl Frederick Brown, 79, of Blanchard, Okla, was held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Snowhill Baptist Church.

The family received friends at Sevier Funeral Home, Tuttle, from 6-7 p.m., Sunday, April 11, 2010.

Earl Frederick Brown was born March 25, 1931 in Mag, Ark., the son of Ivo Leon and Bonnie Bell [Tolbert] Brown. He died April 6, 2010 in Blanchard.

Earl and Georgia Ann Stone were married November 21, 1950. They were married for over 50 years. She preceded him in death June of 2007.

He worked as a welder for Boardman Steel Company for 26 years as a first class specialist. While working for Boardman Steel Company, he organized the local union. He was responsible for the union retirement system for Boardman employees. Earl later owned and operated the Newcastle Gulf Station. He also served on the Bridge Creek School Board during the 1960's and 1970's. Earl was a longtime member of the Tuttle Masonic Lodge.

Earl served in the U.S. Army.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son, Gary Brown and wife Deborah of Grady County; four daughters, Anita Havens and husband Mike of Amarillo, Texas; Lois Smith of Newcastle, Okla., Rita Grzybowski and husband John of Maypearl, Texas, Sherell Davis and husband Randy of Blanchard; four sisters, Wanda Hall and husband George of Newcastle, Okla., Patsy Nix and husband Ambers of Newalla, Okla., Diana Davis and husband Walter of Bridge Creek, Okla., Carolyn Hacker of Minco, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and numerous ineces and nephews.

Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
