Dale Glen "Top Raider" Tyler Sr
March 24, 1943 ~ December 11, 2005


Graveside services for Dale G. Tyler Sr. will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Dale G. Tyler was born March 24, 1943, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Lenord H. Tyler and Ethel L. Norris Tyler. He died Sunday, December 11, 2005, at his home in Chickasha, after a long battle with kidney disease.

Dale was and avid garage sale "junkie". There was no garage sale safe in the Chickasha area from his presence. He loved to fish and was a long time member of the Channel 14 C.B. Club.

He took part in repairing bicycles for boys and girls for Christmas who otherwise go with without for Christmas.

Dale was preceded in death by both parents; three sisters: Ruby, Clara "Sister", and Helen; and one brother Hershel.

Survivors include his wife Darlene [Black] Tyler, of 36 years; two daughters and sons-in-law: Kellie D. and Joel Henry, Traci and Rick Casler, all of Chickasha; one son and daughter-in-law Dale G. and Cindy Tyler, of Chickasha; sister Shirley I. Moore, of Chickasha; brother Leroy Tyler, of La Centre, Washington; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Dale was the best husband, daddy and granddaddy to his family and if you were privileged enough to call him "friend", then you were a rich person for having known him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. " We Love You, Daddy… Go Rest High.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Darlene [Black] Tyler
August 30, 1948 ~ January 26, 2018


Graveside services for Darlene Tyler, 69, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 in Fairlawn Cemetery with Aaron Bird officiating.

Darlene [Black] Tyler was born on the farm August 30, 1948 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry Black and Clara Viola [Davis] Black. She died Friday, January 26, 2018 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Darlene grew up in the country and attended Ravia Schools, near Tishomingo. She came to Chickasha in the mid 1960’s.

On May 17, 1969, she married Dale Tyler in Chickasha, Oklahoma and they were married for 36 years until his death in 2005.

She was employed with Shanoan Springs Nursing Center as a nurse’s aid for over twenty years. Darlene loved playing with her grandchildren and taking care of them. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Dale Tyler, Sr.; son, Dale Tyler, Jr., brother, Sammie Black; and sister, Clara McLean.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kellie and Joel Henry of Chickasha and Traci and Rick Casler of Chickasha; sisters, Charlene Matthews of Chickasha and Barbara Sharp of Tishomingo; daughter-in-law, Cindy Tyler of Arizona; sister-in-law, Jonnie Black of Tishomingo; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.

Services and interment will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
