Jimmy Ronald McCord
August 25, 1941 ~ May 14, 2009


Funeral service for Jimmy Ronald McCord, age 67 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel.

Jimmy Ronald McCord was born the son of Jessie Willie McCord and Jean Mae Lanham McCord on August 25, 1941, in Binger, Oklahoma. He died on May 14, 2009, in Chickasha.

Jimmy was born on the family farm at Binger.

At a young age, he moved to Oklahoma City where he later graduated from high school. Jimmy graduated from Edmond State Teachers College and then received his doctorate degree from the University of Oklahoma.

He taught school for thirty-seven years with the last twenty years at Chickasha High School.

Jimmy was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean McCord.

Survivors include: Father: Jessie McCord of Oklahoma City, Brother: Jerry McCord of Tulsa, Brother: James McCord of Blanchard, Brother: Joe McCord of Henrietta, Sister: Judy Cauthen of Sand Springs, Many Nieces and Nephews.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
