Raymond Lloyd Kennell
June 12, 1930 ~ September 4, 2008


Funeral service for Raymond Lloyd Kennell, 78, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2008 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

On Thursday, September 4th, Raymond Lloyd Kennell was "Promoted to Glory" and entered into rest in Jesus' arms.

He was born in Naples, Oklahoma, June 12, 1930 to William David and Rosie Mae [Hurst] Kennell, both preceding him in death.

Raymond was a truck driver but more importantly, he loved serving the Lord Jesus Christ as a soldier and member of The Salvation Army Church of Chickasha.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Opal; two daughters, Charlotte Jones of Norman and Margaret Kennell of Raleigh, NC; two sons, Dennis and wife, Nona of Chickasha and Stanley and wife, Denise of Norman; one sister Edith [Ernest] Childers of Chickasha; and two sisters-in-law, Josie [Cecil] Kennell and Jennie [Walter] Kennell; 6 grandchildren: Michael Jarvis, Kateera Jones, Jamie Kennell, Amy Wright, Denise Chadrick, and Dustin Kennell; five step grandchildren: Kevin Russell, Kendra Canady, Ann Farley, Jennifer Pierce and Bob Atkins; eight great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

A word of thanks to Grace Living Centerís skilled nursing, Dr. Maluf and the medical staff of Chickasha Memorial Hospital.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Opal B. [Musick] Kennell
July 25, 1928 ~ July 11, 2016


Opal Kennell was born July 25, 1928 in Bessie, Oklahoma to Elmer Dee and Jessie [Lindsey] Musick. She passed away on Monday July 11, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 87.

Opal was the oldest of 18 children.

She married Raymond Kennell on March 31, 1950 in Chickasha at The Salvation Army.

She was retired from the Chickasha Mattress Company.

She was a member of The Salvation Army Church and Ladies’ Home League and Community Care Ministries.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Elmer Dee and Jessie; her husband, Raymond Kennell; and her son, Stanley Kennell and 10 siblings.

Opal is survived by her children: Charlotte Jones of Norman, OK; Dennis Kennell and his wife, Nona, of Chickasha, OK; Margaret Kennell of Norman, OK; 6 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren Brothers: Buddy Musick and his wife, Helen, of Granite, OK; Leroy Musick and his wife, Glenda, of Cheyenne, OK; Everett Musick of Clinton, OK; Carol Hubbard and his wife, Kay, of Yukon, OK; Wayne Hubbard and his wife, Beth Ann, of Chickasha, OK; Sisters: Evelyn Barron and Rosie Blevins both of Chickasha, OK.

Stanley Ray Musick Kennell

Funeral services for Stanley Ray Kennell, 54 of Norman, Oklahoma, will be held at 10 am, Wednesday; November 5, 2008 in the Chapel of the Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Stanley Kennell was born October 27, 1954 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Raymond and Opal [Musick] Kennell and died Friday, October 31, 2008 in Norman, Oklahoma.

Stanley lived most of his life the Chickasha and Cement areas and has lived in Norman, Oklahoma the past 3 years. He was employed at Schwarz Concrete as a Truck Driver.

His favorite past times were Camping and Fishing.

He and Denise Akins were married on July 4, 1995 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Salvation Army.

He is preceded in death by his Father and One Grandson; John Akins.

Surviving family include: His wife Denise Kennell of the home in Norman, Oklahoma; 2 Sons: Jamie and wife Kristi Kennell of Alaska and Bobby Akins of Norman, Oklahoma; 3 Daughters: Amy and husband Joshua Wright of Cement, Oklahoma; Jennifer Pierce of Norman, Oklahoma and Angela and husband Kenneth Farley of Chickasha, Oklahoma; Mother: Opal Kennell of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 1 Brother: Dennis and wife Nona Kennell of Cement, Oklahoma 2 Sisters: Charlotte Jones of Norman, Oklahoma and Margaret Kennell of Raliegh, North Carolina; 7 Grand Children and several Nieces and Nephews.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma under the Direction of the Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, Oklahoma.
