Alejandro "Alex" Guerrero
March 13, 1937 ~ June 29, 2007

Funeral services for Alex Guerrero, 70, of Chickasha will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Steve Sanders officiating.

Alex Guerrero was born March 13, 1937, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Jesús and Clemencia [Agevedo] Guerrero. He died June 29, 2007, at his home in Chickasha.

Alex married his wife of 50 years, Josephine [Torralba] Guerrero, on June 7, 1957, in Lawton, Oklahoma. This union blessed them with five children.

He served in the U.S. Army for two years, from 1956 to 1958, where he proudly served his country.

He worked as a machinist for Chickasha Manufacturing until his retirement.

He was active member of the Eagles Lodge for 19 years, where he had served as a past Oklahoma State President, he was inducted into the F.O.E Hall of Fame, and he was currently serving as Sate Father of the F.O.E..

Alex was a dear and special man to all who knew him. He loved his family and friends and was always there for them. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he was very proud of his new great granddaughter, Michaela Rae.

He loved gardening and has fed many people with the vegetables from his garden. He was also considered the fix-it-man by many and could fix about anything.

Alex had a dream of finding a cure for Diabetes and he had raised many dollars for this charity. If you had the honor of knowing our father and grandpa, you knew one of the greatest men in the world. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers: Juan and Jimmy Guerrero.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine, of the home; daughter and son-in-law: Donna and Ray Foster; four sons and daughters-in-law: Alejandro and Michelle Guerrero Jr., John and Tricia Guerrero, Jesse Guerrero, and Andrew and Sherry Guerrero, all of Chickasha; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Eugenia Uribes and Anastacia and Boro Ramos, all of Wauseon, Ohio; and Teresa and John Guzman, of Minneola, Florida; eight grandchildren: Chad and Kristi Foster, Candace Vananda, Pamela, Tylor, Brittany, Marissa, and Andrew "Bubba" Guerrero; great granddaughter, Michaela Rae Elliott; numerous nieces and nephews, including a very close and dear nephew, Roberto "Bobby" Guerrero and family.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
