William Wade Chaffin "Billy" Garrett
October 4, 1923 ~ December 7, 2006


Chickasha - William Wade "Billy" Garrett, 83, of Chickasha, died Thursday, December 7, 2006, in Chickasha.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fairlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Wray officiating. Burial will be under direction of McRay Funeral Home of Chickasha.

Billy was born October 4, 1923, in Duncan, the son of James William Garrett and Laudys Chaffin Garrett. He grew up in the Duncan area and graduated from Empire High School southwest of Duncan.

After graduation, he moved to Cement and then to Chickasha. Billy then began his career in the U.S. Air Force, serving in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Garrett of the home; a son and his wife, James W. and Pam Garrett of Lawton; a daughter and her husband, Frankie Ann and Frank McCaig of Lawton; four grandchildren, Pat Garrett, Michelle Sampson, Keri Bates and Shannon McCaig; seven great-grandchildren; and a niece, Jeanie Bailey of Waxahachie, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Warren Garrett; and a sister, Clarice Blake.

Geraldine Agnes [Janousek] Garrett
September 19, 1926 ~ March 15, 2018


Geraldine Agnes Garrett, 91, of Chickasha died on March 15, 2018 in Chickasha. She was born the daughter of John Janousek and Frankie Heying Janousek on September 19, 1926 in Cement, OK.

Geraldine grew up in the Cement and Cyril area and graduated from Cyril High School. She worked as a nurse's aid at Southwestern Hospital in Lawton. She met her future husband Billy Garrett and they were married in 1947 in Chickasha. Mr. Garrett was in the Air Force which took them to many places in the United States as well as overseas. Eventually they settled in Brownwood, TX where she lived until recently moving to Chickasha.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son-in-law Frank.

Geraldine is survived by her son James W. Garrett and her daughter Frankie A. McCaig both of Lawton; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha. Chaplain Bill Holly will officiate.

Jelema [Rogers] Garrett Womack
July 22, 1925 ~ January 21, 2017


Funeral service for Jelema Rogers Garrett Womack, 91, of Cleburne, TX will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Chickasha, Oklahoma with Billy Adcox officiating.

Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, OK. Pallbearers will be David Wright, Matthew Duty, Albert Garrett, Paul Flurry, Gideon Turner and Justin Duty. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Flurry, Lucus Turner, James Turner, Bill Turner, Jr., Sam Turner, Brian Schoessow and Jerry "Rocky" Moore.

Jelema Rogers Garrett Womack passed away Saturday, January. 21, 2017 in Cleburne, TX.

She was born July 22, 1925 in Maysville, OK to James Edward and Sarah Doshie Rogers.

At 19 years of age, she married Leon Garrett on July 20, 1944. They were married 41 years and had four children. Through years of preaching the gospel, she was by his side. Leon preceded her in death in 1985.

She married John Womack on March 13, 1993 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. John's three children and her four children, together, created a large loving family of 21 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and nine great- great grandchildren.

Jelema Womack lived her life for The Lord, and was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mom, grandma, sister, and a dear friend to many. Her home was always open to friends and family. Lots of laughter, card games, dominoes, and good clean fun happened in their home. She loved landscaping, and took great pride in a beautiful yard.

Survivors include her sons, Ron Womack and Wally Womack and wife Juanita; daughters, Sharon Wright and husband J.D., Linda Womack and Patricia Duty and husband Stephen; many grandchildren; brother, Walter Rogers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. She was also preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, John Womack on December. 22, 2016; and 16 brothers and sisters.

She has left a beautiful legacy and will be greatly missed, we rejoice with her in her celebration with The King of Kings!

Viewing will be at Ferguson Funeral Home on Friday, January 28, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
