Florence Alice [Humphrey] Dunn
May 4, 1924 ~ December 30, 2012


Funeral service for Florence Alice Dunn, 88, of Chickasha will be held at 1:30 p.m, Thursday, January 3, 2013, at the Sharon Baptist Church.

Florence Dunn was born May 4, 1924 in Chickasha, the daughter of Holland and Mildred [Taylor] Humphrey. She died December 30, 2012 in Chickasha.

Florence graduated from Friend School.

She and Carl Dunn were married June 20, 1943 in Chickasha. They farmed southeast of Chickasha. Florence also worked at Sears for nine years, Chickasha Mobile Homes for nine years, Chickasha Bank for nine years and First National Bank for five years. She retired in 1989.

Florence was a lifetime member of Sharon Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter: Martha Deann Dunn; three brothers: Marshall, Kenneth and Joe Humphrey; and a sister: Sarah Ann Kell.

Survivors include husband: Carl Dunn of the home; two sons: Carl [Sonny] L. Dunn, Jr. of Gordonville, Texas, Marshall [Bub] E. Dunn of Chickasha; a daughter: Rita K. Estes of Dibble; two sisters: Melba Kell and Carolyn Albright, all of Chickasha; nine grandchildren: Elizabeth Greer of Norman, Brandon, Jeremy, Chris and Kaleb Dunn of Chickasha, Angela Curtis of Chickasha, Jennifer Hernandez of Alex, Jesse Estes of Powell, Wyom., Jillian Estes of Denver, Colo., 20 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Dynamite is survived by his wife Alicia Comby Dunn of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael O. and Linda Dunn of Edmond and Patrick and Kathy Dunn of Yukon; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Don J. and Bea Dunn of Chickasha; Sam Dunn of Ninnekah; one sister, Maydelle Stuff of Hurst, Texas; four grandchildren; one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
