January 13, 1924 ~ January 9, 2006


Graveside service for Paul A. Denney, 81, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha.

Paul A. Denney was born January 13, 1924 in Pocasset, Oklahoma the son of Henry and Anna [Davidson] Denney and died January 9, 2006 at his home in Chickasha. Paul was a lifelong resident of the Pocasset and Chickasha areas.

He and Doris Utsler were married January 24, 1944.

Paul was employed at Maremont and also was a farmer and rancher.

He was preceded in death by: parents; one brother: Burnis Denney; one sister: Frances Utsler.

Survivors include: wife: Doris Denney of the home; one son and daughter-in-law: Gene and Barbara Denney of Henderson, Nevada; one daughter and son-in-law: Sharon and Kerry Smith of Silverthorne, Colorado; one granddaughter: Chanin Aumiller and husband David of Hutchinson, Kansas; great grandson: Dallas Aumiller of Hutchinson, Kansas; great granddaughter: Chiann Aumiller of Hutchinson, Kansas; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Owen and Betty Jean Denney of Vinita, Oklahoma; S. E. and Frankie Denney of Pocasset, Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to College Heights Baptist Church of Chickasha.

Doris [Utsler] Denney
January 4, 1924 ~ November 16, 2006


Graveside service for Doris Denney, 82, former Chickasha resident, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha.

Doris Denney was born January 4, 1924 in Pocasset, Oklahoma the daughter or Ira and Lela [Clark] Utsler and died November 16, 2006 in Saint George, Utah.

Doris graduated from Pocasset High School. She lived most of her life in Grady County, Oklahoma.

She and Paul Denney were married January 24, 1944 in Anadarko,Oklahoma. He preceded her in death.

Doris worked as a hairdresser at LaVogue Beauty Salon in Chickasha for several years. She later worked at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Doris was an excellent seamstress and derived great pleasure from sewing for her family.

She was also preceded in death by: Parents: Ira and Lela Utsler; Sisters: Helen Robertson and Mildred George; Brothers: Eugene and Dale Ustler.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law: Gene and Barbara Denney of Henderson, Nevada; one daughter and son-in-law: Sharon and Kerry Smith of Saint George, Utah; Grandchild: Chanin Aumiller and husband David of Hutchinson, Kansas; Great-grandchildren: Dallas and Chiann Aumiller of Hutchinson, Kansas; Brothers-in-law: Owen Denney and wife Betty Jean of Vinita, Oklahoma; S.E. Denney and wife Frankie of Pocasset, Oklahoma; Nieces, nephews and cousins.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
