Connie Muriel Crump Davidson was born April 16, 1926, in Tabler, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joseph D. Crump and Leona Bazer Crump. She died Saturday, September 27, 2003, in Oklahoma City.

Connie lived in Tabler until age 16 when her family moved to Pocasset. There she met Austin L. Davidson. When he saw her for the first time his remark was, "I'm going to marry that girl." After her graduation from Verden High School in 1945, Austin made that promise good. They were married on November 22, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas. They lived in the Pocasset area until 1953 when they moved to Wichita. They made their home there until 1976 when Austin passed away. While living in Wichita, Kansas she was a member of the Mt. Vernon Methodist Church. Connie became a sales clerk for J.C. Penneys. She moved back to Chickasha continuing to work at Penneys until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church.

Connie was a loving, devoted wife and mother. She was a caring sister, helping to take care of her younger siblings. Spending time with family was what she loved the most. She enjoyed handwork and stitched many beautiful pieces for her family.

Connie was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Austin, on September 14, 1976; one son, Jerry Davidson on May 14, 1980; one granddaughter, Kelly Austin, on January 29, 2000, and three brothers, Kenneth "Bud", Billy and Larry Crump.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Linda Davidson, of Wichita, Kansas, Larry and Sheryl Davidson, of Amber, Oklahoma; two daughters and son-in-law, Nancy and Jeffery Wisner, of Hutchinson, Kansas and Vonnie Davidson, of Chickasha; one sister, Norma Hayes, of Chickasha; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Judy Crump, of Chickasha, Leon and Frances Crump, of West Columbia, South Carolina, John and Glenda Crump of Chickasha, Janice Crump, of Lexington, Missouri and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Sharon Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
