Marjorie Maude [Griswold] Cooper
September 16, 1912 ~ August 6, 2001


Funeral service for Marjorie Maude Cooper, 88, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, August 10, 2001, at the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah. Reverend Audie Dorrough will be officiating.

Marjorie Maude Cooper was born September 16, 1912, in Naples, Oklahoma, the daughter of George Samuel and Rena Alberta [Look] Griswold, and died Monday, August 6, 2001, in Chickasha.

She was the last of 12 children of the Griswold family.

Marjorie grew up in the Naples area and moved to Ninnekah in 1946. She was employed by the Ninnekah Public School system for 25 years as head cook of the cafeteria.

One of her greatest joys was cooking for and feeding the children.

She married Burton Lee [Jack] Ginn of Naples on May 24, 1932.

To this union were born two daughters, Delma and Charlotte, and one son, Burton Lee.

She married Albert F. Cooper of Tabler, Oklahoma on July 5, 1948, and they had two daughters, Sheryl and Kathy, and one son, Jim.

Marjorie was preceded in death by: parents, 6 brothers and 5 sisters, 1 son: Burton Lee Ginn, son-in-law: Robert Winstone, husband: Albert Cooper in February of 1978.

Survivors include: 4 daughters: Delma Winstone of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Charlotte Young and husband, Sam, of Hugo, Oklahoma, Sheryl Collins and husband, Doug, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, Kathy Huffines and husband, Ronnie, of Moore, Oklahoma; one son: Jim Cooper of Ninnekah, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
