Edwin Thomas Charlson
February 27, 1918 ~ April 2, 2005


Funeral services for Edwin Charlson, 87, of Chickasha, will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

Edwin Thomas Charlson was born on February 27, 1918, in Grady County, Oklahoma, the son of Ole Martin Charlson and Clara Ann Echols Charlson. He went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, on Saturday, April 2, 2005.

Edwin attended school at Kechi, Oklahoma and graduated from Fairview School.

He married Juanita Marie Cobb at Rush Springs, Oklahoma in 1938.

Edwin joined the United States Navy and served in World War II. After his service in the Navy, he worked in the oil field, retiring as a drilling superintendent for Schlensker Drilling Corporation in 1983.

He enjoyed restoring antique cars and was a member of the Chickasha Antique Car Club for many years.

Edwin was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita; both parents, and two brothers, Fred and Lawrence.

Survivors include three sons; Wiley Charlson and family of Chickasha; Charles Charlson and family of Perryton, TX; and Larry Charlson and family of Lindsay, OK; two brothers, Martin Charlson of Chickasha and Owen Charlson of Marlow, OK; Edwin's legacy includes six grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Juanita Marie [Cobb] Charlson
August 18, 1920 ~ April 30, 2002


Funeral services for Juanita Marie Charlson, 81, of Chickasha, will be held Thursday, May 2, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Juanita Marie Charlson was born August 18, 1920, at Pleasant Hill, located southwest of Chickasha. She was the daughter of John Cobb and Mamie P. Doss Cobb. She died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, in Chickasha.

Juanita attended school at Kechi and Fairview.

She married Edwin Thomas Charlson at Rush Springs, Oklahoma in 1938.

Juanita was a homemaker most of her life, caring for and rearing her children.

She enjoyed being a homemaker for her family and loved quilting for the family and friends.

She had attended the United Methodist Church.

Juanita was preceded in death by both parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin Thomas Charlson, of the home; three sons and their families, Wiley Charlson and family, of Chickasha, Charles Charlson and family, of Perryton, Texas, Larry Charlson and family, of Lindsay; one sister, Ruby Johnson, of Chickasha; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
