Graveside services for Minnie L. Carter, 87, of Chickasha, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha.

Minnie Lee Carter was born Dec. 22, 1915, in Wapanucka, Okla., and died on Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, in Chickasha.

Services were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Frances Carolyn [Butts] Carter
December 2, 1922 ~ August 9, 2004


Graveside services for Frances Carolyn Carter, 81, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held Friday, August 13, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, with Doug Sikes officiating.

Frances Carolyn Butts Carter was born December 2, 1922, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Willie Butts and Martha Thomas Butts. She died Monday, August 9, 2004, in Norman, Oklahoma.

Frances grew up in Chickasha, graduating from Chickasha High School in 1940.

She married Grady Carter on January 2, 1942, in Abilene, Texas. She worked at PET Milk for 15 years; then in February of 1970, she went to work at Tinker Air Force base in Oklahoma City, until her retirement in 1989.

Frances was a member of the Senior Swim Class at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, in Chickasha. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Carter, and both parents.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Betty Carter, of Spencer, Oklahoma, son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Judy Carter, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, daughter, Audie Carter, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, two sisters, Billie Ann Schauer, of Casper, Wyoming, Peggy Sollars, of Kingman, Arizona, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four nephews, four nieces, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Northside Church of Christ at 802 Frisco Ave., Chickasha, Oklahoma, 73018, in memory of Frances Carter.

Interment will be held in the Fairlawn Cemetery, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
