Funeral services for Larry Joe Bush, 65, of Chickasha, Okla., are pending with McRay Funeral Home. Larry Joe Bush was born August 25, 1938, and died on Sunday, February 1, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Funeral service for Larry Joe Bush, age 65, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 4, 2004, in the Epworth United Methodist Church.

Larry Joe Bush was born the son of Joseph Shelby Bush and Gladys Marie Parks Bush on August 25, 1938, in Arkansas City, Kansas. He died on February 1, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He married Veda Pike on June 26, 1960, in Clearwater, Kansas.

Larry grew up in Newkirk, Oklahoma, and graduated in 1956 from Newkirk High School. He graduated with a degree in business administration from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, where he played football and held numerous school records as a wide receiver. After graduation, he worked for Phillips Petroleum before purchasing his first Phillips 66 distributorship in Walters, Oklahoma. He later expanded to Chickasha. As a Phillips 66 distributor, he received numerous awards of recoginition for outstanding performance. Larry later became general manager for Charles Allen Ford. He was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church. Larry was active in various civic organizations during his lifetime and was an avid OU Sooner fan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Veda Bush of the home; daughter Debbie Bush of Chicago, Illinois; daughter and husband Dana and Steve Poag of Chickasha; son and wife Shelby and Nell Bush of Dallas, Texas; daughter and husband Darla and Stephen Haglund of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Joseph Bush of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters Hannah, Ellie and Abby Bush of Dallas, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Epworth Methodist Church, P. O. Box 518, Chickasha, OK, 73023 or Chickasha Public School Foundation, P. O. Box 2443, Chickasha, OK, 73023.

Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
